YOUR DEFINITIVE GUIDE TO GETTING AROUND AND SURVIVING THE LEEDS FESTIVAL FORUMS!!!!

THE SECTIONS

The forums are split up to try and keep all the different questions and madness separate.  Please try and stick to topic wherever you are (with the exception of offtopic, the rules are different down there)

The different sections are:
  • Discussion- there are several subsections, pretty much anything general you will find here.
  • Stages- information about each of the stages at Leeds, who you want to play on them and, once confirmed, who will be there.
  • Information/FAQs/Help- your here now, and this is where you can come to ask us about anything Leeds Fest related.
  • Rumours/wishlists/dream line-ups- who do you want to play?
  • Festival Suggestions-  what would you like to see at the festival?  Can you think of anything that could be improved on?
  • Noobs- new to the forums?  Go say hi to everyone!
  • Off-topic- the life of the boards!  whether you what to tell us what made you happy/or sad today, tell us something totally random, or make some drunken posts, your welcome to here.  As a group we are far more tolerant to total random crap than alot of other boards are, and its helped us all to create a great atmosphere and become great friends!
  • The Arcade- forum games!  come and help us count to one million or join in the werewolf game (when its running!)
  • Sports- tell us who you support, introduce us to a new random sport.
  • Music- discovered some new band?  going to a gig?
  • TV and Film- What are you watching?  Fav and worsts?
  • Gaming- what are you playing? let us know.
  • Leeds Forum Band- are you an aspiring musician?  let us know here, if not, you could always be a groupie or a roadie, or just a fan.
  • Forum Feedback/Quieries-  what do you think of the forums?  let us know here!

With each section, please try and make sure someone hasnt already posted what you were going to say.  50 posts asking the same question clogs up the boards and can cause them to break (which has happened before) and then everyone looses out.

WHO ARE WE?

Everyone on these forums (pretty much) are Leeds Festival goers much like yourselves.  From the first timers to the veterens (what classes as a veteren i dont think anyone has decided).  Everyone has had different experiences with the festival, from the good to the bad, someone here will know just about anything.

The forums have several Administrators who are pretty much in charge of keeping the boards regulated.  Some are around more than others and you can recognise them by the reddish/orange Admin stars above their post count on posts.  The ones who are around the most are Sexzee, Natski and Darksun, who are brilliant with their jobs and would always help you out if you ask.

Moderaters (who have green stars) only have power in the sections that they are modding.  All of us have been to at least one festival and have been members of these boards for almost a year now and so we have experience with how they are run.  We have to power to delete posts (only done in extreme circumstances), create polls and in general keep an eye on whats being posted.  If double threads are made on the same topic, we are the ones who clean it all up.

If at anytime you have any issues you would like to raise about any of the mods, for example, abusing their power, or deleting posts you dont think should have, go straight to the administraters and tell them your concerns, though im very doubtful you will have any trouble.

DO's!

Do enjoy yourself, we want you do have fun!
Do introduce youself if you feel up to it, its always nice to have new friends!
Do ask questions if you are unsure, we want you to have the best experience possible!

DONT's!

Please don't start fights!  Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Don't post abusive comments about anyone, whether you think they deserve it or not.
Don't post links to unsuitable sites- someone was banned last year for posting a link to tubgirl.
Don't troll other festival forums, a little rivalry is good, no need to take it further.  We have a good relationship with the reading forumers, we dont want to ruin that.

We all want to be friends here, and those of us that have been around for a while get on great.  Don't let that put you off though, we dont have any cliques here.  Join in, get along with us and you will soon fit in great!  You'll wish you had joined ages ago.
