new tip: Only leave the festival for supplies and nothing else.


Leaving for a shower jsut ruins the whole 'im at leeds fest this is all that is happening, nothing that i care about is happening on the outside world' feel.

Tip from my mate Janets experience in 07 - Don lose your bag with EVERYTHING in it within ten minutes of arriving then **** yourself 2 days later.

1.If you buy a coach pakage remember that you have 2 get up early monday morning to get it. Unlike me resulting in a £50 taxi home :S
 
2. Take baby wipes! Can have a poo and a decent wipe. I couldnt imagine going to the toilets wer having a **** is one of worst experiences (but you have 2!!!)  EVER, and not hvaing a propa wipe.
 
3. SUNCREAM! when your mother says take suncream, dont say "Its gna rain, Il b alr8" because ooooo it was a bitch!
 
4. Take bottles of Vodka or other stuff tht gets u ratterd. Warm beer is minging!! Drink beer in arena tho cos its beaut! ice cold :P £3.30 a pint, not tht bad considering a Burger is £3.50, and a bacon egg n mushroom bagette is £5.00. Drink instead of eating! take crisps/biscuits/beans.. sortd!
 
5. Pillow! hard ground is a bitch. Plus if u notch u cn off a bit of head rest whilst uno ;)
 
6. Just love it!

1) Less food-  curry pot noodles are a god send, and coco pops were amazing last year, we took some little long life milks worked a charm in the mornings :)
2) More alcohol - but everyone has beer so take bacardi, vodka, sambuka etc
3) Don't shower- take babywipes, deoodrant, bodyspray, sounds rank but I didn't shower last year and looking back there isn't one half hour where i can say i was quite bored then i could have showered
4) Little packets of tissues- fit in your pockets dead easy
5) don't worry!!! so what the toilets r horrible, you've been robbed, forgotten clean clothes, and the alcohols run out! but if you spend your time worrying you're going to miss out on one of the best weekends of your life - fact.
6) write on your tent or get a flag, just make it easier for yourself to find your tent cause it's a lot harder after a few beers to identify which is your tesco value tent . . .

Clearasil face wipes are a godsend.

Food sorted for the weekend! This is what I do and I only bought 2 things to eat whilst there. A baguette and a yorkshire pudding wrap.

Yeah sleeping bag is a good idea, first year i went i forgot mine. But i bought a hippy blanket from the oxfam tent for £5 which was ace! I still use it now.

As for getting bottles into the arena every year without fail i've got through every time without being stopped just by putting it in my back pocket. They check your waist band, front pockets and socks then let you through.

Remember to put you wristband on the opposite hand to that which you wipe your arse with... I learnt at Download '06 that a messy poo can soon find its way onto a loose hanging wristband!! Lovely, eh?!

So what tickets can u get for Leeds? is there like a ticket for just one day aswell as tickets for the whole festival? ooh and for a first time should i camp?

go for the whole weekend, its awesome

you can get a ticket for any day, weekedn tickets include camping.

You can jsut stay over in the camping bit if you have a day tciket, though youll need some mates with weekend tickets to camp with (no space for a tent on the friday onwards).


Doesnt matter if you're a first timer, camp. The musioc isnt even half of it, campsite and night time fun is whats its all about :)

ive got a tip, i went crowd surfin on chilis last song stewads gave me a cup of water, swapped for money, got back to the campstite about 20 mins b4 my mates brilliant!!!
