My other issue is the music played outside the arena.  It's almost completely dance music.  I find this really odd, considering the type of bands we've all paid to see over the weekend.  The silent disco did have a Leeds channel, which was excellent, and the Piccadilly party played the occasional good tune, but the others were, so far as I was concerned from an Indie/Rock point of view, totally awful.  Can we have some that play purely real music next time?  I'd love to be able to choose my campsite based on the playlist.

There used to be one at the bottom of the hill where the market bit is that played good stuff. I know cos my tent was practically on it one year. Recently its been awful.

So basically, nothing will change! Melvin didnt sound too fused about a lot of the question and gave short vague answers leading to me believing, that not much will change.
 
+++ THE FOOD PRICE HASN'T GONE UP FOR 3 YEARS! you ****in me melvin?!?!?! How can you justify £8 for a burger because of the price to get extra stock and transporting it! so out of the festival £3, in a festival £8! Ignorant git.

Cheaper than a lot of festivals? I didn't go this year but it sounds like the prices got less reasonable yet again. I've never been to another festival where I thought the price was absolutely ridiculous apart from Leeds.
 
I think a lot of it has to do with how much FR charge the traders to be there, and the 'price guides' that FR implement. Though I don't understand why one doesn't just undercut everyone. Maybe they're not allowed...

It's just not true.
Food prices have gone up. Fact. About 40% (minimum) in the last 10 years and 30 of that being in the last 5. It's actually the single most expensive festival in Europe for tickets and food (apart from those in Ireland). Some items have doubled in price, including chips which I saw for £4 this year. FOUR POUNDS

Watching his answer on recording Leeds again.  Half makes it sounds like he's into the idea but then again he goes on about getting bands permission to do so like it's an obstacle when they surely have to get permission to film Reading.  So would it be any harder to say "oh and leeds too" ?
