I've decided that it was only too hard because I didn't take out my housecarl with me, who by the way, is invincible(?!). So whenever I fight I conjure up a familiar, who kind of acts as a distraction whilst my housecarl attacks from range and I either magic the fuck out of them or smash their face with my mace. Sometimes both. It is ridiculous how much depth there is to this. I just went to see the greybeards and the route is ridiculously long but so much fun. *SPOILER* I fought a dragon on the way up who just appeared from nowhere, I battered him with the help of this woman who had bee meditating, and then a frost troll killed me in one hit. I think I was level 8. */SPOILER*

All in all, Skyrim is bloody brilliant.

Frost trolls are a major pain in the arse, i find this game everything is easier with a bow, ive never used my housecarl yet but i have a tendency to range attackthings with the 3.0x sneak bonus wait for it to get close, unrelenting force to stagger it and run away rinse and repeat, occassionally throwing a fireball or a heal while i run away.

The housecarl gets on my nerves sometimes! Lydia always fights with people that come along on certain quest and because they cannot die, lydia dies! (i then load last save). Saying that, i was sad when i lost her for about 9 hours (in real world time) even though i waited for hours and hours and she didnt turn up so i presumed she died when fighting a dragon/ dragon priest. She turned up later and said one of her goofy lines and since, i leave her at home. I dont want to lose her again!!!

Im level 39 and have it on the middle difficulty, it isnt too hard but when facing bosses, its just right!

I'm now level 19. There's some bloody great quests on here. I've just finished the main quest where you go into the Thalmar embassy. Basically I forgot to smuggle in potions and didn't think that my follower couldn't come in with me, and for some reason it wasn't letting me conjure atronachs (I'm playing as a conjurer, so that's my main strength out the window!). It took far too many deaths to get through that place. Happy it's over now. I think I'm gonna get rid of some of the side quests that are piling up before I carry on with the storyline. Found some great little quests in Markath, one of which about a drunken night which is turning out to be crazy fun.

Not had chance to play much of Skyrim since Christmas, but what really annoyed me on it was that it glitched out right at the beginning. When you kill your first dragon and learn to shout, I went back to talk to the Jarl to find all the guards in there were aggressive (and slaughtered me) so I couldn't talk to him?

I managed to get around it, but the fact it was like this on all save files was incredibly frustrating.

Otherwise though, the game is brilliant.

I got Dead Island and BF3 for Christmas so I'm gonna give them a whirl before going back onto Skyrim. I feel like I want to start another character that involves we swinging the most badass of weapons round and wearing the heaviest clobber I can make/find. My current character is as stealthy as possible, 100 archery and 90+ sneak. Bandits, Forsworns etc etc are dead with one well timed distanced arrow.

On games like this I always find the tank/melee badass to be the most boring of characters. I might go for a stealth/thief character when I'm done with this one, but I imagine it's quite difficult towards the start of the game?

Also what difficulty is everyone playing?

Nah, not difficult, just gotta pick your battles. I didn't do the main missions for hours, I just generally found quests to get me levelled up quicker and hit the caves and dungeons in and around Riverfall/Helgen.

I'm so glad its back to zombies and not those f*ckin **** poor cult people. Maybe Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield will be seen together in this one too? The problem for me is it looks completely action orientated, the best thing about Res1 was the creepy survival feel it had to it

Not sure what to make of that, doesn't look like a Resi game at all.

Finished Mass Effect 2 recently which was badass and have pre ordered 3 which is out in March or something. Can't wait.
