Ive made a nice cadburys cheesecake before, choc, cream, cream cheese and hobnobs but the thought of that just sounds bitter, it might be lovely but i bet its no nutella.

I just remember going to the kitchen to refill my drink and Holly started feeding me it, I had no choice, eat or wear it.

We made Peking Duck off the cuff the other day, because we found a half-price duck in Tesco's Reduced to Clear section! It was amaaaaaazing. I've written a blog post about it, including recipe for the duck and the pancakes (and a digression on the Reduced to Clear section), here: http://jubbiz.wordpress.com/2012/02/05/food-diaries-impromptu-peking-duck-and-the-reduced-to-clear-aisle/

Just shovelled a chillag roast down my throat and it was so ****ing good. I didn't eat at all yesterday because I was so excited/nervous/too busy.

I'm cooking a sort of salmon carbonara tomorrow, but I'm debating with myself over how to cook the salmon. I was thinking in foil packets with salt, pepper, dill, a bit of lemon juice and water, and then just breaking it up into chunks before i put it in the sauce. Any better ideas?

At work we put it into a portion bag, with a sprinkling of pepper on, and some water and then steam it for three minutes on 50% power. Although they are industrial microwaves, so it would have to be about 8 minutes or something.

Microwaving fish for near 10 minutes....ouch. Hopefully you just did what you were going to do, but I usually use baking paper when I'm cooking fish, and I only cook it for a few more minutes than to boil an egg (unless its a chunky piece, then you obviously use your head). Your seasoning sounded nice though. Top tip- cook from room temperature whatever you're cooking.
